When I was about ten years old I got my first mechanical watch from my grandmother.
I do remember that it was a dive type Timex with Lume... That it did glow in the dark was the best part about the whole watch...
Years later I did buy an Invicta with a NH35 movement and from that moment I started collecting watches. I do buy them a lot and resell them after a good cleaning, and often regulating. That way I can aford myself to keep collecting.
Now I collect most vintage automatic watches en some manual watches when they cross my path. I only keep watches that I really wear as long it wont make sense to me to keep a watch only on display. That means that when I have a watch I don't wear for a long time I put it up for sale en replace it for something else..
